At Gentle Scholars Academy, we believe in nurturing the whole child. Our extracurricular programs are thoughtfully designed to build confidence, discipline, creativity, teamwork, and emotional balance—skills that enhance academic success and life readiness. Every child is encouraged to participate in at least one extracurricular activity as part of their well-rounded development.
Participation Policy
We believe in developing well-rounded individuals. All students are required to participate in at least one extra-curricular activity per term. This policy ensures that every child receives the benefit of holistic development—mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. Participation in these programs not only enhances skill sets but also encourages discipline, self-expression, and social interaction in a supportive and structured environment.

Swimming
Ages: 2.5 years -12years old
Taught by certified instructors, our swimming program introduces water safety, basic strokes, and breathing techniques.
Benefits: Builds physical strength, coordination, and confidence in the water while reducing anxiety and improving focus.

Gymnastics
Ages: 2.5 years -12years old
A fun, structured program that introduces balance, flexibility, strength, and movement coordination through age-appropriate routines.
Benefits: Enhances motor skills, spatial awareness, discipline, and self-control, especially beneficial for children with high energy levels or sensory needs.

Emotional Regulation
Ages: 2.5 years -12years old
A unique class that teaches children how to identify, express, and manage their emotions using mindfulness, breathing techniques, role-play, and storytelling.
Benefits: Boosts emotional intelligence, reduces meltdowns and impulsivity, and equips children with coping skills for everyday challenges.

Karate & Self-Defence
Ages: 2.5 years -12years old
A disciplined martial arts program combining karate fundamentals with real-world self-defence techniques taught in a respectful, safe environment.
Benefits: Builds self-discipline, focus, respect for others, and self-confidence while teaching children how to protect themselves in a non-aggressive way.

Music
Ages: 2.5 years -12years old
Students explore rhythm, instruments, melody, and performance in fun and creative ways guided by a trained music educator.
Benefits: Enhances listening skills, memory, creativity, and emotional expression. Music also supports language development and brain function.

Dance
Ages: 2.5 years -12years old
Allows children to express themselves through movement while improving balance, rhythm, and coordination. Students are introduced to a variety of dance styles including modern, cultural, and creative movement. Whether on stage or in class, children build confidence and poise while learning to follow choreography and express emotion through dance.

Football
Ages: 2.5 years -12years old
Focuses on developing agility, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Children are taught basic football techniques such as passing, dribbling, and shooting in a safe, structured environment. More than just a game, football teaches children how to set goals, work with others, and build resilience through practice and play.

Robotics
Ages: 2.5 years -12years old
Introduces children to the exciting world of technology and innovation. Using age-appropriate kits and tools, students build, program, and problem-solve with robots in a hands-on learning environment. This activity promotes critical thinking and gives children a head start in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Introducing Our Reading Clinic
The Reading Clinic – “Literacy Leaders Program”
Ages: 5+ years
Focus: Developing strong reading, comprehension, and writing skills for struggling or emerging readers.
Subjects: Phonics, Sight Words, Reading Fluency, Comprehension Strategies, Vocabulary Development
